Real-world profile
Beyond the blocks,
what bird is this?
The cockatiel is a cockatoo endemic to Australia. Its long tail accounts for about half its body length, and its cheeks often bear vivid orange patches.
Its crest is an important part of how it signals its state: raised when startled or excited, and slightly tilted when relaxed. Wild cockatiels often gather in flocks on drylands and grasslands near water.
