Real-world profile
Beyond the blocks,
what bird is this?
Common city pigeons are closely related to the rock dove. Rock doves originally nested on cliffs; human-made buildings provide very similar vertical surfaces and crevices.
They often walk in flocks and circle in flight. The feathers on their necks and breasts show a green, blue or purple metallic sheen depending on the angle. Both parents produce crop milk to feed their young.
