Obtaining

Place a Wind Feather Fan with no exclusive enchantment in the left anvil slot, and place Riven Plume in the right slot. This consumes 8 experience levels and 1 book.

Burial Plume, Riven Plume, and Hunting Return are mutually exclusive. Each has only level I. They cannot be obtained from an enchanting table or villager trades.

Anvil · 8 experience levels

How to use

Melee · Left-click

Hold the fan and left-click to attack a target in front of you. A hit knocks the target back and consumes 1 durability.

Returning Wind · Release right-click after charging

Hold right-click for at least 0.25 seconds, then release to throw the fan along your line of sight. A full charge takes 1.5 seconds. A longer charge increases speed, range, and damage, with a flight range of 6–16 blocks.

The fan returns after hitting a block or reaching maximum range. The same target can be hit once outbound and once on return. Return damage is 85% of outbound damage.

Riven Plume · Left-click at full charge

Hold right-click to fully charge for 1.5 seconds, then left-click while still holding right-click to launch Piercing Plume. The enchantment only activates if the hit mob survives. Hitting a block does not activate it.

After a Piercing Plume hit, the fan splits into a formation, converges to attack, and delivers a heavy strike as it reunites.

Durability and return

A fan has 250 durability. Each melee hit or launch consumes 1 point. A thrown fan temporarily leaves your hand. On return, it goes to its original hand first, then your inventory, or drops at your feet if the inventory is full. There is a 0.6-second cooldown after it returns.

None of these three attacks harms mobs marked as birds by the mod.

This is an enchanted form of the Wind Feather Fan and shares its item ID with the ordinary fan.
